Biography

Dr. DiFilippo’s expertise in rehabilitation of orthopedic dysfunction and his development of
sports-specific conditioning programs has helped many patients return to their jobs, sports they
enjoy or daily activities. As a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist, Dr. DiFilippo enjoys
treating a variety of orthopedic conditions such as sprains and strains, spinal disorders, arthritis,
TMJ dysfunction, and balance deficits.

Dr. DiFilippo earned his bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Bowling Green State
University in conjunction with the Medical College of Ohio. He then went on to earn a Master
degree in Exercise Science from Cleveland State University. He also earned certification as a
Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 1997. His doctorate in physical therapy was obtained
from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. Dr. DiFilippo is certified as a Workability
Therapist for industrial injury management through the Workability Network, LLC.

Dr. DiFilippo is currently President of the Ohio Physical Therapy Association and also is a parttime
instructor of physical therapy at Cleveland State University. He recently received the
“Physical Therapist of the Year” award by the Ohio Physical Therapy Association for 2011. He
was also awarded the 2008 National “PT/PTA Team Award” from the American Physical
Therapy Association.
